Woman Soldiers Educated on ‘Baby Care’

In order to enhance the knowledge on ‘baby care’ for woman Army soldiers, two separate programmes got underway at 3 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) Headquarters and at 5 (Volunteer) SLAWC Headquarters in the 22 Division, Trincomalee.

Major General K.M.U Wijeratne, Commander, Security Force - East (SF-E) has given his blessings to the project which educated those woman soldiers on the need to take care of children, giving necessary protection, love and care.

Mrs Shyamali Pathirage, Directress, ‘Senehasa’ foundation and Counsellor, Park Hospital as the resource person delivered the lectures at both places. A large number of married woman soldiers attended the lectures.
