Wednesday Training Programmes Continue at SFHQ - C & SFHQ - MLT

Two more rounds of Wednesday training programmes were held for officers and other ranks in the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) and Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on Wednesday (22).

The training programme in SFHQ-C was conducted under the guidance of Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Commander, Security Forces-C.

During the programme, Major D.M.P.S Bandara of Gemunu Watch conducted a lecture on ‘Global Warming’. 12 officers serving the SFHQ-C attended the lecture.

Meanwhile, Major Wasala Kumara of Vijabahu Infantry Regiment delivered a lecture on ‘Benefits of Benevolent Fund for Army Personnel’. 7 officers and 260 other ranks serving Units, Brigades, Divisions and Training Institutes of the SFHQ-C listened to the lecture.

In the meantime, another Wednesday training programme got underway for officers in Divisions, Forward Maintenance Area (FMA), Brigades and Units of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on Wednesday (22).

The training programme was conducted on the instructions of Major General Dampath Fernando, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.

During the programme, Lieutenant Colonel D.M.I Priyakelum of 26 Gajaba Regiment delivered a lecture on ‘Measures to Improve Self-Esteem among the Soldiers of Sri Lanka Army’.

Furthermore, Sergeant W.R.A.C Wileboda of 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry made a brief speech on the ‘Role and Tasks of Infantry Soldiers’.

A number of Officers and Other Ranks attended the programme.

Meanwhile, another lecture on the issue of ‘patent licence’ for Army innovative creations was held for Officers and Other Ranks in Divisions, Forward Maintenance Area (FMA), Brigades and Units of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on Thursday (23).

44 Officers and 59 Other Ranks listened to the awareness lecture, delivered by two officials, Mr. A.H Piyasiri, Deputy Director General Sri Lanka National Engineering and Research Cooperation and Mr. Ajith Wanniarachchi, Intellectual Property Officer, Sri Lanka National Intellectual Property office.
