A timely lecture on ‘Impact of Religion for World Peace’ was delivered by scholar, Maulavi Mohamad Ersharad Rawahi for Officers and Other Ranks serving the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on Saturday (21) at the headquarters auditorium.
He drew parallels between different religions and underlined the importance of understanding the essence of respective practices and their impact on the society. Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-W, Colonel D.B.C Jayasinghe and more than 680 Army personnel of the SFHQ-W listened to the lecture.
Meanwhile, Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on account of its training day on Wednesday (25) organized a lecture on ‘Organic Food’ & a separate one on ‘Globalization & Sri Lankan Economy’ on the directions of Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.
Professor Bandula Jayathilake and two ladies from the ‘Eco-Friendly Volunteers’ organization delivered those lectures. 592 Brigade Commander and Senior Officers from 54 Division listened to the lectures.
In the meantime, 10 Officers and 291 Other Rankers of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, expected to retire from the organization in the near future listened to a lecture on the importance of vocational training before retirement.
