To coincide with the national tree planting campaign, ‘Deyata Sevana’ on Tuesday (15), the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ -W) launched a programme to plant 175 splings in the SFHQ - W premises.
Senior officers including Brigadier A.K.P. Wickramasinghe, Lieutenant Colonel C.U.V. Marasinghe, Lieutenant Colonel A.A.D.N.S.P. Dunuwila and a few others took part in the programme Tuesday (15) morning.
The main ceremony in the Army was held this morning (15) at Panagoda Sri Bodhirajaramaya (Army temple) on the instructions of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya.
