All 21, 54, 56, 61, 62 Divisions, Forward Maintenance Area (North Central) and formations under the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) battled for the Inter-Divisional Football Championship tournament during 29- 31 January at Mahaweli Grounds, Sampathnuwara. 62 Division was instrumental in organizing its conduct on the guidelines given by Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni.
However, 56 Division footballers won the Championship defeating 21 Division 3-0 in the finals held on Thursday (31). 62 Division players carried the 3rd place in the tournament.
