Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni relinquished his duties on Thursday (22) in order to take over new duties shortly as the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
In order to mark the relinquishment of duties at the Security Force Headquarters -Wanni, Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe was accorded honours by all under command formations during his final visits to 21, 54, 56, and 62 Divisions during the last couple of days in keeping with COVID-19 health safety measures.
At the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W) premises on Thursday (22), a simple ceremony was held with a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour at the parade ground. All General Officers Commanding and Staff Officers of the SFHQ-W participated in this event. Major General Dammika Jayasinghe was the 20th Commander, Security Forces-Wanni.
