Wanni Commander Assesses Completed &;amp; Ongoing Development Projects


Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) together with senior officers made an inspection tour to Bogaswewa area on Monday (6).

During the visit, the Wanni Commander inspected several renovated tanks, Ruwanmaduwa, Dikwewa and Namalgama new villages and new buildings constructed by the Army at Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya premises and the medical center at Nandimithragama.

The Wanni Commander during his stay there, made inquiries into other projects such as the proposed housing scheme and restoration of archeological sites at Kimbulagala and Niraviya areas.

Mr Goonathilaka Banda, Assistant Director for Archeology in the Northern Province, field officers, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division and senior officers were associated with the Wanni Commander’s tour.

Meanwhile, during the visit, Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) declared opened a new office complex and a guard room in the 623 Brigade Headquarters premises the same evening (6) amidst religious observances.

After the opening, Wanni Commander addressed all officers and other ranks serving the 62 Division. The construction was completed under the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 62 Division.
