Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), hailed and recognized as the Army’s parallel strength, comprised of professionals and different tradesmen, Thursday (27) morning launched its own website (www.army.lk/slavf) during a simple ceremony at its headquarters premises in Kosgama.
Major General A.W.J Crishantha De Silva, Commandant, SLAVF launched the website in the company of a large gathering, including its Deputy Commandant, Principal Staff Officer, Heads of Branches, officers and other ranks.
A brief address to the occasion, made by Major General De Silva highlighted the importance of having a website of its own as information technology is fast improving with thirst for information ever-increasing.
