Major General A.W.J.C De Silva, Commander, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) with a view to meeting SLAVF troops serving under the 55 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) recently visited the 55 Division Headquarters.
During the tour, the visiting SLAVF Commander addressed a gathering of 1000 officers and other ranks serving volunteer units and gave a patient hearing to their problems, issues and other matters of concern.
Soon after the interaction with SLAVF officers and other ranks, the visiting Commander shared a cup of tea with them during a tea table organized by the 55 Division.
Brigadier B.H.M.A Wijesinghe, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division at the request of the SFHQ-J and SLAVF Headquarters organized the event.
