Visiting Pakistan's Senior Army Team Calls on Army Commander


A visiting four-member military delegation of the Pakistan Army on Thursday (12) paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at Army Headquarters.

The delegation, led by Lieutenant General Ayaz Salim Rana during their goodwill tour, met Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary Defence and Urban Development on Wednesday (11) before their itinerary in Sri Lanka began.
        
During their meet with the Commander of the Army, the Commander recalled the existing bonds of goodwill and military co-operation between both military organizations. Lt. Gen. Jayasuriya at the same occasion thanked the Pakistan military forces for uninterrupted allocation of training slots for student officers in their reputed training establishments throughout the year.

The visiting team, comprised of Brigadier Azhar Ghori, Brigadier Tariq Javed Rehan and Brigadier Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan, is scheduled to meet a few more senior military officers and visit places of military and tourist interest during their stay here.
