US Defence Attaché Shares Views on Training Matters with Commander


The US Embassy Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Ross, Tuesday (24) afternoon paid a courtesy visit on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters.

The visiting envoy during his friendly meet with the Commander shared views on training modules, ongoing de-mining projects and general matters of relevance to Sri Lanka-US security cooperation,

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva explained him the ongoing roles and tasks of the Army in the north and east for greater benefit of the people.

Exchange of goodwill mementos culminated the day’s programme.

Lieutenant Colonel Roberts Ross of the US Army is the senior Defence Officer and Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka and to the Republic of Maldives. As an infantry officer, he has served in the US Army Infantry School, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs at Department of State in Washington D.C. and Mac Dill Air Force base, Florida.
