Update: Troops Facilitate Movement of Civilians

Troops of the 9 Gemunu Watch serving the 582 Brigade of the 58 Division of the Security Force Headquarters- West (SFHQ-West) continued providing all emergency needs to flood-affected civilians in Molkawa in Bulathsinhala area and the outskirts on Thursday (24).

9 GW troops facilitated the movement of villagers in Molkawa through Molkawa-Bulathsinhla road which have been disrupted. Army troops using a boat assisted passengers and civilians to continue with their routine work.

Meanwhile, 1 Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 143 Brigade further renovated the damaged tank bund at Udunowa tank in the Nikaweratiya on Wednesday (25) since the tank began to spill water across the damaged bund as the water levels began rising.
