UPDATE: Meditation Centre Samaritans Offer Essentials to Kosgama Victims

Sri Lanka-Dubai Meditation Centre and Sri Gnanarama Meditation Centre -Thalawathugoda in close cooperation with the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West)  came forward to offer relief to explosion-hit civilians in Kosgama by way of dry rations, clothes and sanitary items to a total of 200 families at Dathurugoda - Kosgama Monday (27) afternoon.

Representing the Commander of the Army and the Commander Security Forces - West (SFHQ-West), Lieutenant Colonel Hemantha Perera, Civil Affairs Coordinating Officer of the SFHQ-West after assembling the worst-affected to the Grama Niladari office at Pahala Kosgama, enabled the distribution of those relief items in the presence of Ven Mirahawaththe Pachchasila Thera and several other monks.

Meanwhile, Army troops have so far succeeded in completing 556 affected homes in Kosgama by Monday afternoon. Army troops of Salawa actively engaged in the ongoing reconstruction and relief projects in the blast-affected Kosgama - Salawa areas on Monday (27) commenced construction work of a new set of   houses.

Those completed 556 houses have now been handed over to the owners.
