Troops under command to 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) on the directions of Brigadier M.A.A.A Wijesuriya, Brigade Commander, 112 Brigade offered their assistance on Friday (17) to clear several trees that had fallen on a few houses inside the Brownswick Gaskipan estate in Nuwara Eliya.
Continuing heavy rains, coupled with stormy weather conditions caused those trees to fall, although no casualties were reported. 19 Sri Lanka National Guard troops immediately rushed to the location and removed those fallen trees and debris with the help of affected civilians.
