Troops Join ‘Deepavali’ Pooja at Kilinochchi

A special Pooja on account of Deepavali festival, the national festival that symbolizes light over darkness, got underway at the Thirimurukkandi Pillayar Hindu Kovil in Kilinochchi on Saturday (29), Deepavali day of Hindu civilians.

Troops in the area, led by Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi attended the Pooja which invoked blessings on all Sri Lankans and wished prosperity in the future.

FMA Commander, 57 Division General Officer Commanding, Brigadier General Staff at SFHQ-KLN and a large gathering of officers and other rankers took part in the meritorious act.
