662 Brigade troops of the 66 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) timely intervened and assisted to recover a vehicle belonging to the Forest Department which had veered off in Urathipuram area in Kilinochchi along Jaffna - Kilinochchi main road on Friday (15).
20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 662 Brigade, deployed close to Urathipuram area on being informed, rushed to the location and assisted to bring the vehicle back on to the road within a few hours on Friday (15) at about 5.30 p.m.
Major General Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 66 Division has extended his consent for the emergency need.
662 Brigade Commander, Colonel Champika Ranasinghe instructed the 20 SLLI troops to assist the task.
