NORTH: ARMY troops conducting further search and clear operations in the general areas of AKKARAYANKULAM, ALANKULAM, PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU, SUGANDIPURAM, KUPPILANKULAM and UDAYARKATTUKULAM found nine Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPG), two hand grenades, twenty-two 60 mm mortar bombs, sixty-two 60 mm mortar fuses, one thousand and thirty-six rounds of General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) ammunition, two M-16 magazines, two hundred and thirty-five rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition, three hundred detonator codes, one 120 mm booby trap and fourteen anti personnel (AP) mines on Sunday (30).
Meanwhile, troops recovered one shotgun and four hundred and sixty-five anti personnel mines from ALAVADDICHENA and PILUMDIKULAM areas in VAVUNIYA, the same day (30).
