Troops Erect Two Pre-school Buildings &;amp; Wells

Two pre-school buildings and two common wells, constructed by the troops of 11 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) serving 563 Brigade area in Kelebogaswewa village, Vavuniya under 56 Division, were handed over to the public on Saturday (7).

Ven Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera, Patron ‘Thawalama’ project and the Buddhist Association in the UK have patronized these community-oriented projects at the request of the 56 Division and the 563 Brigade Headquarters.

Opening of those public projects enable kids in the area to receive training in pre-schools and the people to use those wells for both drinking and washing purposes.

Ven Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera, Colonel (Rtd) Anil Amarasekara, representatives of the UK organization, Lieutenant Colonel C. Ranaweera, 563 Brigade Commander, Lieutenant Colonel P.N.S. Jayaweera, 563 Brigade Civil Affairs Officer, Commanding Officers of 11 SLNG and  Sri Lanka Engineers, villagers and several other civilians attended the opening ceremony.
