More than 151 officers and a fair number of other ranks serving the 56 Division area in Vavuniya volunteered to donate blood at the request of the Blood Bank of Vavuniya Hospital on Saturday (17).
The event that took place at 56 Division Headquarters was supported by medical officers, Dr V Dissanayake, Dr Nuwan Hewawasam and six other staffers of the Vavuniya Blood Bank.
General Officer Commanding 56 Division also gave blood during the project, together with all other officers and other ranks.
