Troops of the 59 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) conducted a ‘Shramadana’ project in Kannagi Amman, Kovil premises in Wattappalei, Mullaittivu during 22-25 March.
The project, aimed at facilitating devotees to make offerings saw both members of the public and 59 Division and under command Brigade troops participated in repairing some buildings and cleaning of the premises.
General Officer Commanding (GOC), 59 Division, Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasooriya took the initiative in this regard. More than 100 Officers and soldiers attended the event and made it successful.
Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces – Mullaittivu has given his support to the project considering the importance of this religious festival.
