Training Course for Umpires Conducted

Sri Lanka Army Cricket with the objective of grooming a new set of umpires in the Army recently conducted a two-day long workshop on umpiring at Panagoda Cricket grounds.

A total of 32 officers and other ranks representing all Army regiments took part in the course, meant to impart basic knowledge on umpiring to the participants.

Messrs Vajira Surasinghe, Gamini Dissanayake, Kapila Jayalath and Vidura Prasad of Sri Lanka Cricket Umpires’ Association as instructors, contributed to the success of the entire conduct of the training programme.
