Chief of Defence of the Thai Royal Army, General Sommai Kaotira with his spouse and a seven-member delegation, currently in Sri Lanka at the invitation of the office of his Sri Lankan counterpart on Tuesday (26) paid homage to the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura as part of their itinerary in Sri Lanka.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) and his spouse, Mrs Renuka Perera received them warmly on arrival in Anuradhapura on behalf of the Commander of the Army.
During their stay in Sri Lanka General Sommai Kaotirawill pay courtesy calls on HE the President, Maithripala Sirisena and the Hon Prime Minister, Ranil Wickramasinghe, Hon State Minister of Defence, Ruwan Wijewardene and Secretary to Ministry of Defence, Engineer Karunasena Hettiarachchi during the visit.
