National Novices Wrestling Championship - 2018 organized by the Sri Lanka Wrestling Association was held during 10 - 11 September 2018 at the Torrington Indoor Stadium in Colombo.
During this tournament, Sri Lanka Army Wrestling Team secured 10 Gold, 6 Silver and 2 Bronze medals and won the overall championship by challenging Navy, Air Force, Police and other sports clubs.
Major General A. M. R. Dharmasiri, Chairman of the Army Wrestling Committee, together with Colonel U. J Kotuwegedra, Deputy Chairman of the Army Wrestling Committee, Major H. M. M. H. K Dharmasena, Secretary of the Wrestling Committee and Team coach, Corporal Fernando also attended the prize awarding ceremony.
