Special Forces Regimental Hqrs Moved to Naula

Special Forces (SF), Sri Lanka Army’s one of the best elite Regiments recently moved into a new Regimental Headquarters premises from its Seeduwa premises with the intention of providing more facilities to the members of the Regiment.

Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Colonel of the Regiment, Special Forces ceremonially inaugurated the Regimental Headquarters building as the Chief Guest in the company of a host of SF council members, officers and other rankers.

The brief ceremony saw the Chief Guest being given a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour on arrival at the new premises before he was invited to open the new building complex. Soon after it, Major General Senanayake also inaugurated the ‘Nil Aramba’ new restaurant in the premises. Major General Senanayake was received at the premises by Major General N.A Dharmaratne, SF council member and the General Officer Commanding, 55 Division.

As another feature of the opening ceremony, the Chief Guest and all senior officers took part in another feature in the agenda by joining a coconut sapling planting campaign in the premises.

An all night Pirith chanting ceremony, followed by an alms giving brought the opening ceremony to an end.
