On par with age-old practices of the Sri Lankan warriors, soldiers serving the 62 Division under the guidance of General Officer Commanding Brigadier G. J. L. Waduge, have recently carried out many construction projects in Mullaitivu, Trincomalee and Anuradhapura districts.
Troops of the 9th (Volunteer) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry took part in renovation work at Monarawewa Temple in Gajabapura, Welioya while soldiers of the 27th Battalion Gajaba Regiment serving under the 622 Brigade renovated a building at Ranmaduwa Temple in Paranamedawachchiya, Sripura.
Meanwhile, soldiers of the 26th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in the 623 Brigade area renovated the Weherawewa road in Padawiya recently.
