SLSR & 5 SLAWC Wrestlers Emerge Champions

Final rounds of the Inter Regiment Wrestling Championship, held recently at Panagoda Army Cantonment on Monday (30), gave the overall men’s Championship to Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) wrestlers. The women’s Championship was clinched by 5 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (5 SLAWC) wrestlers.  

Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) wrestlers (men) and 4 SLAWC (woman) wrestlers carried runners-up trophies.

Major General Major E.M.M Ambanpola Colonel Commandant, Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) as the Chief Guest gave away the trophies.

Lance Corporal E.M.S Priyankara of SLSR and Private K.S Madushani of 5 SLAWC were selected as the best players in both male and female categories.
