SLSC Troops Bid Farewell to Outgoing Colonel Commandant

Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) on Friday (26) in a fitting goodbye ceremony at the SLSC Regimental Headquarters in Panagoda farewelled one of its exemplary Senior Officers, Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Colonel Commandant, SLSC and former Military Secretary who retired from the Army after a distinguished career of more than 34 years of service.

On arrival Major General Wijesinghe was greeted in a Guard Turnout before he was warmly received by the SLSC Centre Commandant, Brigadier L.S.P Perera and Senior Officers. He was afterwards invited to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour, presented by troops of SLSC regular and volunteer units in the Regimental parade ground.

After a while, the retiring Colonel Commandant joined all ranks for refreshments at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess where he took time off to share pleasantries with the attendees at the occasion.

Later in the day, he was hosted to a formal dinner at the Regimental Officers’ Mess in accordance with military traditions where the departing Senior Officer was presented with a special memento before he delivered his farewell speech to the gathering. affiliate tracking url | Hats to Match Jordans Hyper Royal Bulls Hat
