Army Inter Regimental Judo Championship - 2016 was held on Friday (25) at the Panagoda Army Cantonment gymnasium.
It was held for the 18th consecutive time on individual and team events according to different weight categories.
More than 260 male and female competitors representing 18 Regiments of the Army competed in the Judo Competition.
The Chief Guest in the awarding ceremony was Major General R.V Udawaththa, Chairman Army Judo Committee.
Championship in team events was won by the Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) scoring 46 marks while Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC), became runners-up by scoring 23 marks.
Senior officers, officers and other rankers attended the prize awarding ceremony.
