Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Regimental Centre on Sunday (18) received further recognition when Dr. Arunasiri Iddamalgoda, Chairperson, GIFU - Sri Lanka Japanese Friendship Association following an initiative of the Colonel of the Regiment Major General A. P. De Z Wickramarathna.
The ceremonial delivery of the ambulance to the SLNG took place at the Regimental Centre, Weherawaththa.
The gift to the SLNG was coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel U.P.C.K Punchinilame SLNG, Commanding Officer of the Regimental Headquarter Battalion.
The delivery of the vehicle for the benefit of the SLNG War Heroes got underway at the SLNG Regimental Headquarters amid cultural and musical feats.
Representing the association Dr. Arunasiri Iddamalgoda, Medical Consultant Dr. D.C Rajapaksha, Mr. Suraj De Silva, Mr. Vipula Iddamalgoda and a few others attended the occasion.
Chairperson, SLNG Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramarathne, SLNG Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Regimental Staff Officers and Regimental Staff were present at the occasion.
