SLE Regimental HQ Inaugurates Its Renovated Squash Court Adding a New Entry into Army Sports

On the sidelines of his mother regiment's farewell, the former Commander of the Army General Mahesh Senanayake on Friday (23) ceremonially opened the upgraded and completely renovated the Squash Court in the Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) Regimental Headquarters in Mattegoda.

During the simple opening, the 22nd Commander of the Army General Senanayake threw 2 courts by making the first service and appreciated the renovation work carried out by 4 SLE troops.

Major General Jagath Gunawardana, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) and Colonel Commandant SLE, Major General Tissa Nanayakkara, Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, Engineer Brigade Commanders, Centre Commandant SLE, past Colonel Commandants, retired Sappers' squash players and groups of SLE All Ranks witnessed the opening event.
