An awareness programme Mental and Physical Harassments was conducted with the coordination of the Directorate of Psychological Operations for Army Woman Officers and Other Ranks at 2 and 4 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) during June 7-9.
The programme was conducted at the Security Forces Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W).
Dr Lalith Priyankara Dharmasena at Venereal Diseases and AIDS Prevention Unit of the Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura, together with Public Health Officers and staff members of the Sri Lanka Army Mental Health Unit, conducted the lecture sessions.
Major Sandun Gunawardene of the Directorate of Legal conducted the lecture on the legal aspects.
A total of 6 Officers and 163 Other Ranks of 2 SLAWC and 7 Officers and 151 Other Ranks of the 4 SLAWC listened to the lectures.
