Sri Lanka Army Ordinance Corps (SLAOC), the last year’s runners-up in the Badminton tournament emerged victorious and clinched the championship by beating Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) during the Inter Regiment Badminton Tournament held at Royal College Indoor Stadium.
In the women’s sector 1 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) won the Championship and 7 SLAWC claimed the runners-up slot.
Major General A.W.J. C. de Silva, Chief of Staff graced the final tournament as the Chief Guest.
Private L.J Maduwage of SLASC and Private B.Y Wimalasinghe of 1 SLAWC were adjudged best players in the tournament.
