SLAGSC Rugby Players Win Inter Regiment Rugby Championship

The final match of the Army Inter Regiment Rugby Championship tournament was played at the Race Course Grounds on Friday (19).

Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) team and Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) team competed with each other for supremacy. 

SLAGSC Ruggerites won the finals and carried away the championship by 46-0.

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army as the chief guest witnessed the final tussle in the company of several senior officers.

Brigadier D.C.S Wanniarachchi, Chairman, Army Rugby Committee received the Chief Guest on arrival at the Race Course Grounds.

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva afterwards gave away trophies to the winners. 

A large gathering of senior officers and other ranks watched the finals.
