Six former female rehabilitated LTTE combatants, now serving as pre-school teachers in Vavuniya District recently, received six new push bicycles as modes of transport, thanks to initiatives taken by 211 Brigade.
After information affirmed that those pre-school teachers undergo hardships in finding their way to those schools due to transport, the 211 Brigade with the patronage received from Alliance Development Trust, bought six new bicycles and donated to them during a simple ceremony at 211 Brigade Headquarters.
Brigadier P.M.S.A Pallemulla, 211 Brigade Commander, family members of recipients and several senior officers were present at the occasion.
