Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) gymnasts competing in the first Inter-Regiment Gymnastic Championship meet of Physical Training School at Panagoda, won the Championship, pushing Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) to be the first runners-up.
It was held on Monday (9) in the presence of a large crowd of gymnasts and fans.
Maj Gen L W C B B Rajaguru, Director of Infantry as the Chief Guest on the final day ceremony gave away trophies and certificates. Private S A S Maduranga of SLSR who was the captain was adjudged the Best Gymnast in the Championship.
