Army Judo players in the National Judo Team who competed in the Commonwealth Judo Championship in Jaipur, India representing Sri Lanka during 4 - 11 November showed their colours, bagging 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals.
Warrant Officer-1 K.L.C.K Lemagasthenna (below 60 kg) and Sergeant S.P.G.P.P Yasarathna (below 81 kg) won Silver medals under the veterans’ category.
Lance Corporal H.M.M.B Seneviratna (below 60 kg) and Corporal A.H.M Wickramasingha (below 90 kg) competing in the Men’s category and the veterans’ category won Bronze medals respectively while Private K.M.P.K Liyanage (below 57 kg) won a Bronze in the Women’s category.
Those Army Judo players were included in the National team on the recommendations of the Army Judo Committee, chaired by Brigadier Chandana Marasinghe. Sports News | Air Jordan
