Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) launched a Program of Epidemic Prevention in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttlam, Kurunagala, Galle and Matara districts on Thursday (10). It will be conducted till Wednesday (16).
More than 788 troops serving the 14 and 58 Divisions together with troops serving at Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), Gemunu Watch (GW), Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and Sri Lanka National Guards (SLNG) participated in the project. Several medical officers, together with District Medical Officers attended the programme.
The project aim to prevent the spread of epidemic from vulnerable areas as projected by respective officers of the District Medical Offices.
