Troops of the Security Force Headquarters – West (SFHQ-West) celebrated the 5th anniversary of the SFHQ-West with several commemorative programmes under the guidance of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces – West (SF-West) at the SFHQ-West premises at the Army Cantonment in Panagoda this morning (15).
On 13 November, as the 1st stage of the programme, a 'Bodhi Pooja Pinkama' at the Bodirajarama temple premises was organized to bless all members serving the Army and transfer merits to fallen War Heroes.
On the anniversary day (15), a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by the troops of the Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) saluted Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SF-West at the Security Force Headquarters premises in accordance with military traditions.
Afterwards, a troop address followed by an All Rank refreshments culminated the day's programme.
