An awareness programme, organized under the directions of Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) to educate troops under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on “Moral behaviour of a soldier and the way of being a resourceful, employee for effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the organization” got underway on Thursday (27) for an audience of over 650 Officers and Other Ranks representing all under command formations of the SFHQ-W.
Senior Counsellor on Psychology, Mr. Samantha Nilmalgoda and Information Officer on ‘Drug Education’ Mr I.M Chamara Pradeep Karunarathne conducted the programme on ‘Anti-social Trends, Addiction of Drugs, Crimes and Misuse of Social Media’ which could mislead soldiers from their prime role and duty.
He elaborated several important relevant facts to make self-behavioural patterns which are morally exemplary to be an effective employee in the organization.
Furthermore, these two knowledgeable and well experienced lecturers emphasized the importance of restoring moral values and ethics in society to prevent crimes, corruption and all other anti-social activities.
Representing the Commander, SF-W, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-W, Colonel Anil Peiris graced the programme.
