SFHQ-Wanni in New Initiative Takes Family Members on Pilgrimage

In a novel feature, the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W) took steps to take family members of fallen, disabled and serving Army personnel at the SFHQ-W on a pilgrimage tour to the sacred city of Anuradhapura and other interesting places in Mannar during 11- 13 December 2017.

The pilgrimage tour was organized on the concept of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni (SF-W), Major General Kumudu Perera.

28 selected families representing all Other Ranks staff from the SFHQ- Wanni, together with 7 Civil Workers families joined in three-day visit to Anuradhapura sacred city and the trip to Mannar.

During the tree-day trip SFHQ-Wanni provided all necessary facilities to the participants.

This goodwill tour was launched as a novel project with the intention of further promoting understanding among family members of fallen War Heroes and the concern, the SFHQ-Wanni has towards welfare of those family members.

Several senior Officers also joined the arrangements.
