SFHQ-S Holds Seminar &;amp; Continues Its Dengue Programme


With the intention of educating both officers and other ranks on Reproductive Health and transmission of venereal diseases, a seminar organized by the Colombo Obstetrics and Gynaecology Institute took place recently at Panagoda Sri Bodhirajarama Temple premises at Panagoda, following initiatives taken by the Security Forces Headquarters-South.

Medical specialists, Dr Hemantha Perera and Dr Kapila Gunewardena, together with several other medical officers conducted the seminar.

Meanwhile, 11 Division, 12 Division and 14 Division under the Security Forces Headquarters-South continued their Dengue eradication programme on Tuesday (31) in Ambagamuwa, Aththanapitiya and several other areas.

Troops of 112, 121, 122 and 143 Brigade Headquarters actively took part in the programme with the participation of Public Health Inspectors and other state officials. Similarly, troops supported another Dengue campaign held at Negombo, Katunayaka area on Tuesday (31).       

Meanwhile, the same programme covered Panagoda Kendalanda Army housing complex.
