Another Wednesday Training Programme, organized for officers in Divisions, Forward Maintenance Areas (FMA), Brigades and Units of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ - MLT) got underway on Wednesday (4) at the SFHQ - MLT auditorium.
The training programme was conducted on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu Major General Dampath Fernando.
During the programme, Captain C.M.G.S Chandrasekara, 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment delivered a lecture under the Human Rights & International Humanitarian Law (HR & IHL) topic. Lieutenant W.M.A.C Weerakoon, 19 Gemunu Watch conducted a lecture on ‘Operation Entebbe’ which occurred in Uganda.
Furthermore, Staff Sergeant K.B.S Chandrasiri of 7 Sri Lanka Ordnance Corps made a brief speech to other ranks on the introduction of annual review boards.
A number of officers and other ranks attended the programme.
In the meantime, Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ - C) conducted a Wednesday training programme at its auditorium on Wednesday (4).
During the programme, Captain H.D.N Weerathunga, Logistic Officer III delivered a lecture on ‘Kandy Procession’ for 8 officers.
Furthermore, Warrant Officer - I D.M.A.R Jayawardene, Army Public Health Inspector at the Army Base Hospital Diyatalawa conducted a lecture on ‘food safety’.
A total of 78 Army personnel including, 8 officers and 70 other ranks attended those lectures in total.
