Troops of all the Units, Brigades and Divisions, under the Security Force Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with the intention of promoting fellowship and mutual confidence organized football and volleyball tournaments among them.
6 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) and 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) entered the finals although 20 teams participated in the football tournament.
6 SLASC marked victory against the 24 SLSR in the final football match, held at Udduppukulam Tamil School ground on Wednesday (30).
On the same day (30), 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) and 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) played the final match in volleyball. 40 teams participated in the volleyball tournament.
18 VIR emerged winners in the final match, held at the 18 VIR Playground.
Major General Jagath Dias, Commander, SFHQ-MLT as the Chief Guest gave away trophies and certificates to the winners of the tournaments.
