SFHQ - KLN Troops Organize a Shramadana to Clean Boys’ Orphanage

Troops serving the 57 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) launched a Shramadana campaign to clean Arowanam Boys Home in Uruthirapuram, Kilinochchi on Friday (15).

3 Officers and 60 Other Ranks of the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) engaged in the Shramadana campaign with the guidance of Major General Jagath Gunawardane, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division to clean the Boys Home where more than 20 parentless boys are living.

The project got underway under the close supervision of Colonel Ajith Kolambathanthri, Brigade Commander, 571 Brigade and on the instructions of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi.

The Authorities and inmates at the Uruthirapuram Arowanam Boys Home highly appreciated the community-based project organized by the Army.

They extended their gratitude to the Army for the Shramadana project.
