Security Fore Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), continuing their reconciliatory and life improving projects for the greater benefit of the common masses in and around Kilinochchi launched two more projects in the weekend.
With the intention of providing entertainment to the youth and the general public in the area, 66 Division Headquarters on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, staged a mega musical show, coloured by performances of the popular Tamil singer, N. Ganeshan and a host of entertainers.
The music band of 15 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provided backstage music to the whole event.
A civil dancing troupe from Pooneryn area, in addition to the dancers from the Civil Security Department, added glamour to the spectacle at Kilinochchi - Pooneryn road public ground throughout the evening on Wednesday (16).
A large crowd including religious leaders, state officials, together with the Chief Guest Major General A.P. de Z. Wickramaratne, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division enjoyed the evening.
Meanwhile, extending one more helping hand towards promoting educational skills among children in Kilinochchi, the SFHQ-KLN invited Mr Sri Skandaraja, Retired Director of Education for the Primary Education Section in Chavakachcheri Zonal Education Office to conduct the seminar at Kilinochchi Vivekanandanagar Vidyalayam for the benefit of students sitting Grade 5 scholarship examination this August.
With the coordination done by the SFHQ-KLN, Union Assurance PLC, Kilinochchi patronized the supply of refreshments and snacks to all 250 students attending the seminar during morning hours.
The seminar on Sunday (20) continued till mid-noon and reviewed all lessons, related to their syllabus. General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Mr Kokilan, Regional Manager, Union Assurance PLC, Kilinochchi, Principals and teachers witnessed the conduct of the seminar.
