An awareness programme on ‘Road Traffic Rules for Army Personnel’ for the troops serving in Kilinochchi area was conducted on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces – Killinochchi (SF-KLN) at the main auditorium on Friday (19).
Mr P. Perinpanayagum (Retd), Director of Motor Traffic Training Institute and Deputy Inspector General (Traffic), together with Engineer Sarath Kariyawasam of Motor Traffic Institute conducted the programme.
During the programme, the visiting lecturers briefly explained the traffic rules and procedures, prevention of accidents, responsibilities as a driver and pedestrian's roles.
A total of 208 Army personnel including 25 officers and 183 other ranks serving in the SFHQ-KLN area attended the awareness programme.
