A friendly cricket tournament between Royal fighters Thoppur team and Peradeniya University team was held on Sunday (22) at Peradeniya university playground.
This cricket match was organized under the guidance of Major General Aruna Jayasekara, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division and the supervision of Colonel Prasanna Ediriweera, Brigade Commander, 224 Brigade.
Peradeniya University team reached 248 for 8 wickets in 40 overs and Thoppur team scored 122 for all out in 30 overs.
The Thoppur cricket team got the chance to visit the Sri Dalada Maligawa during their visit.
