The new officers’ accommodation block at the Security Force Headquarters – East (SFHQ-E) was declared open by the Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-E) on Thursday (18).
It was one among the series of construction works that are being carried out for provision of accommodation and basic facilities for officers and other ranks serving the SFHQ-E.
During the opening ceremony, the Commander, SF-E, Major General K.M.U Wijerathne appreciated the contribution made by members of the SFHQ-E, including those in the Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) who worked round the clock to complete the project within four months.
