SFHQ-E New Year Festival Held on Grand Scale

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) conducted its Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival at the Infantry Square, Minneriya on Friday (08).

The event was organized by Forward Maintenance Area East (FMA-E) with the assistance and guidance of Major General K. M. U Wijeratne, Commander, Security Forces-East (SF-E).

During the festival, a number of New Year games and competitions, like bicycle races, pillow fighting, climbing grease tree, bun eating, selection of New Year prince and princess, fancy dress, etc got underway with the participation of a number of all ranks.

A large gathering of officers, other ranks, civilians and school children participated in the event.
