Security Forces Headquarters, East (SFHQ-E) in connection with the festival of lights (Vesak) organized a mobile float with troops singing Vesak devotional songs.
The decorative item, organized with the blessings of Major General Lal Perera, Commander, SFHQ-E toured several areas, close to the SFHQ-E Headquarters at Welikanda for three days.
It was inaugurated on the first day (May 5) of Vesak by Major General Perera, in the company of several senior officers and hundreds of other ranks serving the SFHQ-E.
A large gathering of civilians thronged the premises to have a glance of the show, coloured by men and woman soldiers of the SFHQ-E.
